And back to the present….. This important Mark 1 (in LM livery) for its timetabled services, receives much needed attention |

Work on the Birdcage has had to be fitted in around the shed’s ‘bread and butter’ work. The body has been dropped onto its new frames and each door (a century old) refitted into place |
The guard’s eye view of the “birdcage” interior of this coach – with doors removed |
The PW wagon too has received some attention. This vehicle can be used to level off ballast dumped onto the track |
The GWR railcar made a brief yet worthwhile visit inside the Carriage and wagon shed and threw off its green shrouds briefly so more work could be done on the supporting timbers by its project team. What a gem she will be when complete! |
And here is another carriage that has made it back into revenue earning service and looking very splendid when spotted at Tenterden Town in springtime this year |
