8. The hedge is trimmed and the patch weeded to keep it looking spruce and from encroaching on the track, And then there are the rabbits and snails to think about - both perfect pests.

9. Both sunshine and showers - and volunteers’ absence working at other places has led to healthy growth everywhere - especially of weeds and brambles and other unwanted elements.

13. Keeping pathways and grassed areas neat and tidy is a constant battle. Stan levels the rampant areas of vegetation so a mower can later subdue this area.
